Renogy Rover Li BAD Settings Issue
I'm sure there are some people on this Forum that use Renogy Rover MMPT controllers. After days of hair pulling followed by hours of research I found that the default settings for the Renogy Rover with LFP battery is very-very bad. As many have posted on the DIY-SOLAR forum and other places, the bes...

Re: Launching SnekTek Solar Dashboard PLUS model
2023-09-03 09_34_59-DISPLAY-SETTINGS.jpg While the LUX sensor does work, it's not needed in my setup. The dashboard DISPLAY SETTINGS (see pix) allows easy config of data types to be hidden (not needed for display). However this list has only a couple of the Environment settings. Could the following...

Re: Metrics Capture Failing
FYI I found a couple of RJ adaptors that I modified to breakout the 6 control lines. I put this in series with the existing RJ cable to the Renogy RS232 port. My RJ connector is wired as below: WHT,BLK,RED,GRN,YEL,BLU WHT = +13.6v BLK = -5.7v (data) BLU = +12.8v If I disconnect the WHT wire the Snet...

Re: Metrics Capture Failing
Just a comment on my v6.2 board. You can see the circuit pads for the Micro-USB connector.
If this connector was present then external power would be much easier to hook up (no soldering).

Re: Metrics Capture Failing
Hi Aces, well for me the Renogy Li 30A MMP would not power up the Senktek unit at all. I opened the box to confirm it has the new dc-dc converter on board but even that was not getting enough juice. You can see the pins for "Aux-power 5-30v" so that's what I hooked to for +13v from my main...

Re: Launching SnekTek Solar Dashboard PLUS model
OK thanks Jonathan, that explains why I saw Lux only data.

Renogy Output Switch
I did not see any mention of this so asking if it's an available or future option.
Replacing the BT-1 module on my Renogy Li 30A MMP with the SnekTek unit gives me great wifi monitoring, but one thing I am missing is the control of the Renogy Output port.
Regards,
Ron

Re: Metrics Capture Failing
I had a similar issue with my new SnekTek which would not power up at all from my Renogy 30A MMP. The Renogy RS232 port worked fine with my BT-1 but would not power the SnekTek. I wired +12v via a series diode to the "Aux Power" connections inside the SnekTek and it works fine now. I do ha...

Re: Launching SnekTek Solar Dashboard PLUS model
2023-08-25 08_00_02-Garage.jpg Since my Snektek monitor just arrived last week I can assume it's the "Plus" model. These extra sensors don't seem to have valid values, except Lux. (See attached screenshot from moments ago) Speaking of Lux, when I first setup the SnekTek into my Renogy 30A...
