Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Okay, I'll keep my eyes open. @Dobster, the issue seems to be the dashboard is in an inconsistent state due to interrupted firmware update. We have instructions here on how to manually update the firmware: https://www.snektek.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59 Once you follow the steps, it should rec...

Manual Firmware Update Instructions

Instructions to manually update the Firmware ( Updated on September 26, 2020 ) Note, typically you should be able to do the over-the-air update from the dashboard UI itself. If you have a very old firmware that doesn't have the feature or for any reason you are not able to trigger the update from t...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Whether it is possible to obtain load current and load power would require information on the load to be used which is connected to the epever. Personally, I use that MQTT output. Thank you @Koivutie7 , On the latest firmware we have implemented inclusion of the discharging load data to the json ou...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Hi, How easily can you change the way to save mqtt settings to flash memory. The purpose is to disable the sd card I use domoticz and I don't need an sd card. @Koivutie7 The latest firmware version 4.0-a3c58f-2020-08-16-22-23, saves the settings to Flash if SD card is not available. You may update ...

Re: Dashboard has stopped displaying data

Hi Tony, The "NaN" means, the dashboard is not recording a valid live data. Can you download the log file or retrieve it from the SD card and attach it here? The blue and orange flashing slowly indicates the dashboard is sending commands to the controller. Also make sure you have the latest firmwar...

Re: Dashboard has stopped displaying data

Thanks Jon I tried three different cables that all work with the MT50 but there is still no live Dashboard data. The jumper appeared in place but I tried removing and replacing it. Before you send a replacement can you answer the following. What does the "NaN" mean in the five live data slots? What...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

@boffin @xion2000, I found a bug with the latest binary where the last value in config.txt doesn't work if you don't have a new line at the very end of the file. So, after adding the settings make sure to add a new line at the end and save.

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Hey there, hope you are safe and well. I've just updated a V2 with an electrolytic, FET, removed the Pwr LED and loaded the latest binary and have found everything to be much more stable - so thankyou and well done. As for the surgery ... the "breakout" row down the side marked V2 & V3 came in hand...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Ah thanks, that one works. All updated and I’ve got it showing in Home Assistant but can’t see how to configure MQTT. Do I need an SD Card? I can see /config shows settings, can I just copy them to an SD Card, edit and plug it in? I don’t have a card yet or I’d have tried it but maybe there’s a but...
