Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Is it possible to use a URL instead of an IP address in the MQTT server field, and if so how should it be formatted? Should something like http://foo.net work? @cedarman You should be able to use the domain name directly instead of the IP address for eg: test.mosquitto.org, and make sure the correc...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

I've been having problems for several weeks now after have none at all for several months, the data collection is being rather hit and miss. I upload my data to Home Assistant which displays a graph similar to that on the SolarDashboard and I use that data to turn on & off a battery charger. I'...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

@jonathan / @amente, Can you clarify what is required to use mqtt from the unit with username and password? Is it as simple as 'mqttusername-xxxxx' in the config file? @TripitakaBC Connecting with username and password with MQTT is not supported at the moment. We will implement it in future firmwar...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Okay, I'll keep my eyes open. @Dobster, the issue seems to be the dashboard is in an inconsistent state due to interrupted firmware update. We have instructions here on how to manually update the firmware: https://www.snektek.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59 Once you follow the steps, it should...

Manual Firmware Update Instructions

Instructions to manually update the Firmware ( Updated on September 26, 2020 ) Note, typically you should be able to do the over-the-air update from the dashboard UI itself. If you have a very old firmware that doesn't have the feature or for any reason you are not able to trigger the update from t...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Whether it is possible to obtain load current and load power would require information on the load to be used which is connected to the epever. Personally, I use that MQTT output. Thank you @Koivutie7 , On the latest firmware we have implemented inclusion of the discharging load data to the json ou...

Re: Solar Dashboard Project

Hi, How easily can you change the way to save mqtt settings to flash memory. The purpose is to disable the sd card I use domoticz and I don't need an sd card. @Koivutie7 The latest firmware version 4.0-a3c58f-2020-08-16-22-23, saves the settings to Flash if SD card is not available. You may update ...

Re: Dashboard has stopped displaying data

Hi Tony, The "NaN" means, the dashboard is not recording a valid live data. Can you download the log file or retrieve it from the SD card and attach it here? The blue and orange flashing slowly indicates the dashboard is sending commands to the controller. Also make sure you have the late...
