Re: Solar Dashboard - Constant Reboots - Cannot Access dashboard

Once again, disregard the noise. I deleted the config.txt file from the SD card, and back to working. Just spent 2 hours poking and prodding, replacing the USB cable...

Solar Dashboard - Constant Reboots - Cannot Access dashboard - SOLVED

I changed the SSID and AP IP for the SNEKTek today, and now it broadcasts the new SSID and will attempt to connect to the network, but keeps disconnecting without acquiring an IP address. When attempting to connect direct via the new SSID, I get an IP address on my phone and laptop, and can ping the...

Feature Request: Read Error Codes / Write Modbus Parameters

If possible, implement reading error codes and allow sending back to MQTT.

I have been reading in other forums that writing to registers is limited, but please implement writing back to the charge controller the few supported parameters available.

Re: mqtt problems

Wow, looks like you already ruled out all of my suggestions. Without a more descriptive debug function that provides verbose failure information, I don't know where to go from here. It's obviously not rebooting due to low power, it is logging to SD card without SD card errors (I used to get those un...

Re: mqtt problems

When you say thousands of pings from mqtt server, what is pinging what? Also check your reboot count after clearing it and running for a day or so. Also, I know you have ruled out power as a culprit, but I was having issues like this and it was power related (issue with my charge controller not supp...

Grafana Help Displaying Current Charge Profile/State

Grafana 5.4.3 https://i.imgur.com/UQTJ0gu.png Open to input to configure a SingleStat or some other color/text display to show the charging status of a PWM solar charge controller. Currently running a Renogy Wanderer connected to a SnekTek wireless RS-232 module sending charge controller measurement...

Re: v5.2 Issues - SOLVED

Unit ran perfectly overnight. No errors in web log, web graph is perfect and finally have an indication of when the chicken coop light and automatic door run based on the load current! Not a single reboot either. MariaDB/InfluxDB VM crashed this morning so I lost a few hours of Grafana logs but that...

Re: v5.2 Issues - New Unit

Thank you for the quick reply. It was running fine until the battery voltage got to 13.1v, then started rebooting and missing MQTT. Ran a modified USB cable V+ to pin 6 and the Wanderer USB output, installed an SD card, and now I don't get SD card errors on the web page, the unit is publishing MQTT ...

Re: v5.2 Issues - New Unit

Just noticed the web interface is still updating live values and graph, but after hour, it is no longer publishing to MQTT. I am monitoring using Chronograf importing via Telegraf, MQTT explorer, and Grafana. PingPlotter shows only 1 dropped packet in 1 hour and a -60 signal strength.
