Mod a Mini

I am looking for a way to hack, mod or flash a GH mini to be able to use the microphone portion to connect to my PC via blue-tooth for home automation.

I have found several conference room microphones that will do this, but they all seem to disconnect the blue-tooth after 30 minutes of inactivity for power saving features. So they won't work correctly. I am trying to not need the cloud for any of my home automation, including voice control. I have a couple GH mini in a draw and would be more than happy to mod them somehow.

Any info, solutions would be much appreciatted

Hi Wanderer189 welcome to the forum.

First of all, the google home system relies on the internet connection to process commands, so I'm not sure this is the correct route if you want to go without cloud.

If you must connect your PC into the home mini, you could use the SnekTek line in mod kit. However, I think bluetooth is going to be frustrating with constant disconnections. Even if you can find a device that doesn't disconnect, I foresee many headaches. If you can run a plain wire, it will be much simpler. After all, you can move the mini next to your computer.
