I bought the "Add Aux Out" kit and am slowly and carefully moving on installing it (I'm new to this stuff) - the question I have is I don't want the mini built in speaker to do anything. I never will so don't need the "mute switch mod" - I just want the built in speaker permanently silent and just send sound to the Aux Out. That being the case, wouldn't my mod be a little different? Rather than splicing the Aux jack wires along with the wires to the speaker, can't I just leave the speaker wires un attached and just attach my Aux wires to the "sound out" wires from the main board?

What would the diagram for this look like? And are the included resistors still right for this - do you just put them between the wire connections?

Hi there,

Yes, do the mod but afterward cut the speaker wires off at the end, near where they go into the speaker. This will disable it. Post a picture here if you're unsure.

Yea that looks good. Connect the red wire to both "RED" terminals.

You mean I need two red wires going from the resistors - one to each terminal labeled RED on the Aux out like this?
